BREATHE: An invitation to a deeper life with God
Vision
We are a community of missional disciples seeking to be transformed by Jesus Christ and see him use us to transform thecity around us and beyond.
Breathe is an invitation to a deeper relationship with Jesus
At this time God has been speaking to us about investing in our 'UP' relationship with him. In response to this we believe we are called to:
- A daily rhythm of word, worship and prayer through which we will grow closer to God and live with him and in dependence upon Him.
- Building corporate prayer into the rhythm of our life as a church community: in the 'lake' at the centre of the church and in the 'rivers' of our Mission-Shaped Communities. You will find new rhythms of weekly,monthly, termly and annual opportunities to pray with others.
- Being open and obedient to what God says to us as we seek Him and he leads us forward by His Spirit - new patterns of prayer, new rhythms of life and relationships that will enable this transformation to happen.
Breathe Prayer
Breathe on me, breath of God,
Fill me with your life giving presence,
That I may love you and serve you in all that I do.
I confess my need of you and ask you to forgive me for the things I allow to fill your place in my life.
I choose to open my life to you now.
Open my eyes to see the signs of your kingdom,
Open my ears to hear your voice,
Open my heart to receive your love.
Inspire my speaking, guide my thoughts and help me to love others as you have loved me.
As I breathe in your presence I pray that you will send me out in the power of your Spirit to live and work for your praise and glory.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
